Rich Muellerleile

Licensed NYS Guide

Career Fire Chief, NYS Certified Paramedic, Water Rescue Expert

Rich Muellerleile is a NYS licensed flyfishing guide with deep roots in the Catskills, as his family dates back to the early 1900s in the area.

An avid fly fisherman, Rich was first taught traditional dry fly techniques for native trout by his Maternal grandmother behind their summer cabin in Chichester along the Stoney Clove Creek.

Years later, Rich relocated to the area full time, started a family, and came back to the solace that is ever so present here in the Catskill Mountains.

Rich devotes his finite spare time from local public service to take his own daughters fishing on the local streams- teaching them the same traditional techniques taught by his grandmother 30 years ago.
